- 4 slices of sourdough bread
- 1 cup fresh mozzarella cheese sliced
- 1/4 cup fresh basil pesto
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- Salt to taste
Prepare your ingredients by slicing the mozzarella and spreading pesto on the bread.
Butter one side of each slice of sourdough bread.
Assemble your sandwich by placing mozzarella on the unbuttered side of the bread, topped with another slice of bread, buttered side facing out.
Heat a skillet over medium heat and place the sandwich in the pan once it’s warm.
Cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side until the bread is golden and the cheese is melted.
Remove from the skillet, slice in half, and serve warm.
